Goodbye snow – hello sunshine!

What does spring mean to most of us? Warmer weather, baseball, flowers and spring cleaning.

Spring cleaning is not just for the house – your teeth deserve it too!

How do you spring clean your smile????

  • Check the expiry dates on your mouthwash & toothpaste.
  • Check your floss supply.
  • Replace your toothbrush.
    • Your toothbrush should be replaced every 3 months or when you see frayed bristles which is a sign of wear and tear.
    • It is also important to replace your toothbrush after being sick or having a cold sore.

Just like you try and clean the little cracks in your house, your mouth is full of little tiny spots that are hard to get at. Maybe treat yourself to an electric
toothbrush this spring.  Studies show that they remove more plaque and reduce gingivitis when compared to a manual toothbrush.

Now we are not saying those old toothbrushes have to be thrown out! They can be excellent cleaning tools around the house too. For example: cleaning grout between tiles and tight to reach places like around your stovetop. Most importantly get your car ready for spring by scrubbing your rims.

Hope this helps get you in the mood for flowers and sunshine!

We Look forward to seeing you at Dentistry on Liverpool soon
